Award type: Indie Gold

Live or plan to live in DC?  Then iLive.at is for you!  Enter a DC address and iLive.at will present you with information tailored to that exact location, cleanly organized into categories.  The “Errands” category indicates how far the nearest shopping center, post office and convenience store are, among other things.  “Crime” tabulates recently reported offenses in the area, and “The People” displays colorful pie charts giving demographic information.  Click on a category and the relevant items will be plotted on a map of your neighborhood.  It’s very simple.
Our first version of the application is probably most helpful for those looking for a place in DC.  If that’s you, scope the options out on iLive.at before make any decision on where to live “at”!  For those already happily settled, iLive.at will continue to mine DC’s data in order to add helpful categories and keep you informed about where you live.

This application blows other online maps out of the water and it is in its pre-beta form! APPS08 combines a user friendly interface with useful information on the area’s demography, public safety, and recreational activities.
